Trường Foods: A story of entrpreneuship and resilience

When people hear the name Trường Foods, they likely think of a young, beautiful, and successful female CEO who secured funding on Shark Tank and caught the attention of all four sharks. However, the success of Trường Foods today is the result of a long and challenging journey filled with determination and inspiration, led by its founder and CEO, Nguyen Thi Thu Hoa. At the age of 18, Hoa started her entrepreneurial journey in her homeland of Phu Tho by selling a simple traditional dish of the Muong ethnic group called Thit Chua (fermented meat).

To turn this local delicacy into a mass-produced product, Trường Foods had to overcome many internal and external challenges. Hoa continuously improved the production process, experimented with different recipes, and introduced modern equipment to ensure the quality of the final product. Additionally, the company focused on innovating its packaging and designs to meet customer demand and expand its distribution network.

In the past two years, Trường Foods faced significant challenges due to the pandemic, including issues with staffing, sales, and customer relationships. However, the company pivoted to online sales, which provided new opportunities. By leveraging digital marketing, Trường Foods was able to increase brand awareness, improve customer service, and expand its distribution network, resulting in increased sales revenue. Today, Trường Foods has over 5000 retail locations throughout the country.
